1. Accepting these terms
By accessing dcaged.com or submitting a quote request, you agree to these Terms of Use and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site or submit personal information. You must be at least 18 years old to submit a quote request.
2. What Dcaged provides
Dcaged publishes general home-security research and offers a way to request contact from participating service providers. Dcaged is not a security installer, monitoring company, alarm operator, emergency dispatcher, insurer, electrician, or law firm.
Editorial pages are informational. A quote request is an inquiry, not a contract for services. Provider availability, the number of responses, pricing, appointment times, and project outcomes are not guaranteed.
3. Quote requests and contact consent
You agree to provide accurate information that belongs to you. When you check the consent box and submit a form, you authorize Dcaged and participating providers to call or text the phone number supplied about that request, including through automated technology. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any product or service. Message and data rates may apply.
You may withdraw consent for future calls or texts by telling the caller, using an available opt-out instruction such as replying STOP, or contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing that already occurred before the request was received.
4. Independent providers
Providers are independent third parties, not employees or agents of Dcaged. You are responsible for evaluating a provider before hiring them. Verify current licensing, insurance, permits, warranties, references, pricing, contract terms, and complaint history directly with the provider and relevant authorities.
Dcaged does not control a provider's work, representations, availability, or handling of information after a referral. Any service agreement is between you and the provider.
5. Editorial information and third-party offers
Product features, prices, plans, promotions, availability, laws, permit rules, and service terms change. We try to correct material errors, but we cannot promise that every page is complete or current. Verify important details with the manufacturer, provider, retailer, insurer, or government authority before acting.
Third-party links are provided for convenience and source verification. Their content, security, availability, and terms are controlled by the third party. Some links or referrals may compensate Dcaged as described in our Disclaimer and Compensation Disclosure.
6. Permitted use
You may use the site for lawful personal research. You may not:
- submit false, fraudulent, or third-party contact information without permission;
- interfere with site operation, security, forms, or access controls;
- use automated systems to scrape, copy, or overload the site except as allowed by law;
- attempt to access non-public systems or data;
- reproduce substantial site content for commercial republication; or
- use Dcaged branding in a way that suggests sponsorship or endorsement.
7. Intellectual property and corrections
Original site text, design, graphics, and branding are owned by Dcaged or used under permission and are protected by applicable law. Product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Reference to a brand does not imply endorsement or affiliation.
To report an accuracy, copyright, or trademark concern, email editorial@dcaged.com with the page URL and enough detail to investigate.
8. No emergency or professional advice
Dcaged content is not a substitute for a site-specific security assessment, licensed trade advice, legal advice, or insurance guidance. For an emergency or immediate danger, contact 911 or the appropriate local emergency service. Do not rely on this website to send or receive emergency communications.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Security products reduce some risks but cannot prevent every loss, intrusion, injury, outage, or false alarm.
To the extent permitted by law, Dcaged is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages; lost data or profits; provider acts or omissions; purchasing decisions; or reliance on site content. Nothing in these terms excludes a right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Changes, severability, and contact
We may update these terms when the site or law changes. Updated terms apply from the date displayed above. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Applicable law governs without overriding mandatory consumer protections.
